I cannot tell you how many times Nona Jones “Gift of Rejection” sermon popped up on my YouTube algorithm. The sight of it made me cringe and had me thinking “oh no I don’t want to go there” until now God has me here in a time of rejection!

The beginning was hard to hear, why? Because it is such a familiar story yet I tried to find comfort and being attentive to chapters and most importantly, the way you took your time to back up sentences with scriptures. So profound.

This was the best book I have ever read! It spoke to me personally through all the stages of my life dealing with rejection myself. I endured a lot of rejection as a child and young adult, so it helped me process feelings from then and how it effected my adult life. Now that I have grown in my relationship with God and have stepped into my call and purpose he has for me in ministry, I have experienced some rejections there as well. I found so many useful examples Nona gave that helps me process rejections and how they are gifts from God to move me to greater things. I can see how rejection isn't just rejection, it's God's way to protect us, move us away from things that may harm us down the road, grow us, or move us us to his greater plan for our life. 5 stars on this book!

I’ve felt rejection as early as elementary school and still today. I’ve learn so much about myself and a lot of things that I avoid due to rejection. I’m going to deal with all my past rejection and heal with the power of god. Im going to be confident in who I am in Jesus. Because I am chosen by God. I will be reading this a few more times!
