My heart isn’t made to digest heartbreak/grief well. I feel it very physically and it sits with me for a long time. So, I knew this was going to be a tough in some parts.

If you’re like that, please know this one is worth it and 95% of the book is happy and charming. The ending suits the story and the characters even though it’s a bit tough. It’s still happy.

The author is so funny. My jaw dropped at the Chip Skylark reference. What a classic! Had me in tears. The characters were so lovable.

The audio performance is good. The actor that does Finn gives a performance that could probably be at home in a Speed Racer Anjme. It really works in some places and really doesn’t in others. But it’s doable and I still appreciated the effort and care he put into it. The other voice actor was excellent. No notes.

I read this book as an arc but was super excited when the Audiobook was announced.

I went into this forgetting how much it was going to hurt my soul.
This book takes you on a roller-coaster of emotions. You fall for the characters and their love just to be smacked in the face with a giant WTF!
Be prepared for laughs, love, and a whole lot of fucking tears. Tissues may be required.

What I thought was going to be a fun listen went beyond anything I could have ever wanted. I may never be the same.

I absolutely loved the storyline. It’s unique and it made me laugh and made me cry. This is my second book by the author and I knew I was going to love it. This definitely tugs at the heart strings but it is oh so beautiful 🩵

This story was definitely unique and unlike anything I've ever listened to before.

I had so much fun listening to the story and I must admit that that twist completely blew my mind. Those last couple of chapters had me in tears almost the whole time, but a huge smile was planted on my face at the end of the story.

I don't want to talk a lot about the story because I don't want to give anything away, so I'll just say that nothing is what it seems. I had an absolute blast with this audiobook. The narrators did a great job with the characters. And listening to them with surfer bro dialect and intonation was just as entertaining as the story itself.
