In the last few months, Max has bonded with a fire elemental, learned to shift, and freed hundreds of captives from a prison. Now, most want to follow him to his lands, and he realizes it's not big enough to accommodate. While trying to figure out solutions for that problem and others, Sigmus advises him to focus on locating other elementals to bond with. Agreeing with the fire elemental, he journeys to other kingdoms and is shocked at what he finds.

Previously, Dom's adventures took him through mountains, saving princesses and others and escorting them to the palace. During his journeys, he became fatally injured and ended up in a healing clinic visited by a deity. The god healed Dom and revealed information about how he ended up in Risona and that his family was in danger. With this information, Dom races across the kingdom to save his family, but his mind is filled with anxiety because of the warning Medum gave him. With the help of his family and others, Dom defeats the demonesses and allies they brought.

With others now relying on him, Dom tries to come up with ways to improve their lives. Those ideas will help his family if his enemies don't make trouble for him. In this second part of his journey, Dom keeps inventing items not known to the world, strives not to give in to societies standards, and learns that his compassion for others will get him into trouble.

As the summer solstice nears and hordes of demons prepare to cross the veil, Max and his faithful crew race to unite the kingdoms for the coming battle. But when dark forces strike the earth and water elementals, threatening the annihilation of all life, Max faces an impossible task.
