The setup for this one in the previous book of former crawlers entering faction war was lived up to spectacularly. It had good twists and turns making it so you never knew exactly what was next

The stellar storytelling and world building of the universe keeps on going, and gods the story is NOT going the way i expected originally in a great way.

The story has a good pace and Matt balanced story progression with action which can be tough. I love that different characters got to shine (like Li Na). This series is by far my favorite. And if I ever meet Matt I will give him the AI inspired foot treatment.

Jeff has ruined reading books for me. I read this book when it first came out because I was going through withdrawals and couldn’t wait 5 months. That did not ruin the audio experience. Jeff enhances the experience to a whole new level. Prepare your tooties Jeff, you get the same treatment.
