This was a quick read. The setting of the story threw me for a loop. Only because I wasn’t excepting it. I thought it flowed well. Give enough back story that it didn’t feel rushed. Seems relatable for being that time frame it was in. I enjoyed this.

Mine to Claim is the first book in the Wasteland Temptation series. This is a dystopian, MM spicy romance. Rex has been on his own for many years. He rarely has interactions with other people. Since the virus took out most people years ago, life is not easy. There are very few things people can trade with, most commonly their bodies is the only thing. One day a young eighteen year old man tried to rob him. Declan had been watching Rex. This is a fast paced and super spicy book. Can’t wait for more from this series.

Tim Paige did a fantastic job narrating this book.

Hot start to an amazing story! Tim smashes the narration. This is a short novella and quick listen. Definitely worth it!

Mine to Claim is a post apocalyptic story. A virus struck and very few people are left. Some who are left are eating their way through the survivors.

Rex is an older man who is working his way to the Appalachian mountains. Devon is a younger man who has been stalking him for a few days. Devon is starving and wants to do a trade for food.

Rex finds that Devon is just what he wants and needs. And is going to claim him if he can.

Mine to Claim is the first novella in the Wasteland Temptations series from a new-to-me author. The setting is a post-super virus epidemic that has left everyone to fend for themselves. Food is scarce, cannibalism is rising, and sex is used as a form of currency. Rex is a 38yo ex-Special Forces veteran living as a loner, but surviving. Devon is an 18yo that wants to trade his body for a meal. With a one-hour listening time, things progress pretty quickly between these two. There is a semi-cliffhanger, so we will see how these two fare in the next story.

Tim Paige is the lone narrator for this and man, he is so good. His voicing was so precise for the age-gap, the passion, and the emotional struggle between Rex and Devon. Loved it. 5/5 stars! 🌟
