This was a good story, despite thinking the MC has a completely punchable face. I don't know if the author intended this, or if they were just self aware enough to realize that the MC had very few redeeming qualities, but apparently all the other characters also disliked the MC.

Interesting story, Great magic system, but again hard to identify why exactly I finished this book, but I did and sadly I would likely listen to the next one.

Great Narration, Great and engaging magic system. I can even understand why the MC is so "punchable" due to his skill that makes him read like he has RBF...

Would not recommend for people that need to empathize with "pretty" or "consistently nice" MCs.

The Mc constantly does what he has/needs to regardless of the other participants. I'm impatiently waiting for the next book

People are leaving reviews talking about how MC is irredeemable, but he is obviously the bad guy. it's very interesting to watch the evil guy gain power. seeing how he reacts when things don't go his way

Overall loved the book. The MC spent 1/2 the time complaining. 1/4 of the being unnecessarily cruel. And the last 1/4 be being alright to some people. He’s still not enough to keep me from getting the next book. The story itself is good enough to move past the MC.
