So... you're here once again?

Well, unfortunately, this chapter of my story is shorter than you were probably hoping for, but still sweet.

The journey from full-time Neet to a God is no easy task, as you learned and I experienced firsthand. Being burned alive in mind, body, and soul might have forced me down, but I'm not out.

I'm still standing, and the journey continues. In this short farewell, you'll find out what occurred in the aftermath of my traumatic experience and the preparations made for my trip to Las Vegas, as well as a goodbye for now to the city, my friends, and you.

But fret not, for included in this third release is an all-new original side story that takes place in the same universe as the main story. Although the young man you'll soon get to know doesn't meet me in the first installment of his tale, I can assure you we become well acquainted later on. As a matter of fact, I'll let him take it from here.

I thought things would quiet down when I moved... I was wrong.

I had found it odd that my granduncle left me his home, but I thought that moving in would be a nice change and a new start to my then-crumbling life. What I didn't know was that my uncle was hiding a very dangerous and interesting secret.

In the backyard, beneath a heavy steel hatch, lies the entrance to an underground labyrinth. A dungeon straight out of a fantasy.

With a system straight out of an RPG and weird messages about some core, my supposed peaceful life is thrown out the window. Now, it's all leveling up, making sure no one finds out about my secret. Oh, and there's the girl next door and the snooping neighbour to deal with.

Whatever happens, life is about to get really interesting.

This is the continuation of A Neet's Guide to Becoming a God and its send-off, for now, paired with a bonus side story "I Have a Dungeon in My Backyard!" set in the same universe as the main series.

First 2 books were amazing, have been looking forward to book 3 for a while. Then I see it, was disappointed it was only 5 hours, but was still excited. Then I get it and only 1hr and 21 minutes of the 5 hours is the actual book I wanted, and then to add injury to insult the author is pitching some other garbage. Truly fulfilling his name sake, Lazy fantasist.

This book appears to be the author's attempt to live up to his pseudonym of "lazy".
Calling this the third book in the series is essentially a cash grab. The little bit of content that is the "third" part of the original story, is just a loose-ends tie-up of the second book, and should have been included as the end.
If he had done that, I would still have a positive opinion of him, even though I would have been disappointed that the series had ended.
Instead, this very short, not quite story, was called the third book, and sold as such, and isn't at all that.

So obviously the author doesn't care about his readership, or his publisher doesn't care about the author, if they forced him to do this shameful crap.

Let's talk about the novelette which takes up most of the book.
On its own, had it not been sold to me like this, I might have tried it, liked it, and continued that series. Given that it was added as a bate and switch in place of the book I paid for, however, I am probably going to be a lot harsher than I would have otherwise.

It's basically a "guy discovers magic and a dungeon, then goes on a mission to get stronger" story. Not bad, although he doesn't always have a good time of it. I like the side characters, and some of the extra threads that were set-up. The ending was disappointing, but open to more adventures.
The universe is supposed to be the same as the Neet's Guide, but so far I can't really see how the RPG system fits in there.

If I still trusted this author, I might be interested enough to follow where this adventure goes. Since I don't, I doubt I will. He will probably leave me high and dry again, and/or use it as an opportunity to up-sell his next series.

A word about the narration: Danny Wis does his usual great job, and is the main redeeming quality.

A big F-you to his readers
