Likable characters than can be sympathized with thrown together in tension but coming through with a satisfying conclusion. Nice swift story bringing everyone together from the beginning, through the conflicts and ending with deserved optimism for all. Enjoyable reading and characterizations by Stone and Melanie. Truly a pleasure.

for H.D. Stephens' first audiobook, the production value is seriously impressive. Jax’s journey to become a legendary hero in a magical realm is a total thrill ride, especially with the way his code of honor earns him respect from Orcs and Elves alike. Stone Smith’s gritty, commanding performance is the perfect match for a warrior like Jax, and Melanie Hastings brings such great energy and chemistry to the different women in his life. It’s a fun, spicy, and action-packed listen that hits all the right notes for a harem adventure. The only bad thing I could say is, this could certainly have been a 4+ book series.
