Everyone else sees chaos and monsters. I see opportunity.

Back on Earth, I was a history teacher. Now I’m Lord Nathan Cavendish, young, titled, and carrying the potential to become something more.

In this world, every winter brings monstrous hordes. Magic exists, but it's weak and unreliable. The exception? Wild Sorceresses, women overflowing with raw power so vast they’re feared and hunted. Not by me. I see potential in them, and I have the means to harness it.

I have the MageMark System, a mysterious force that urges me to bond with mages and unlock their true potential. When I heard about a sorceress imprisoned in a distant village, I knew it was my chance.

Now I have to win over a hostile town, outmaneuver the empire, and survive long enough to reshape this broken world. The odds are stacked against me, but I’ve got magic, ambition, and a second chance I won’t waste.

MC is fun to follow, women dont have a lot of depth but they have goals and reason. Worth the buy.

good fun, worth the buy, mc makes decisions that reflect someone who would be able to lead and isn't a wierd "nice guy"

Story is enjoyable. Characters seem fun and unique. Enjoyed the slow romance in the book, and looking eager to see how it develops in book 2.

Also, really enjoyed the village-building aspect of the story. Was cool to see how the characters develop and flesh out as the story progressed,

Looking forward to book two.

From the start, the story seems to dump you right in the middle of a situation with no explanation as to how or why they are there. There are a few little hints but it’s not until chapter 5 that MC makes reference being reincarnated. MC is the only one who can help but we don’t know what he has that makes him able to help. The “wild” mage has no explanation as to why it’s bad.

With no back story provided, chapter 1 feels like the start of a book 2. This is my own opinion but I like to get the story of how the MC got where he was with the characteristics he has up front or at least in bits throughout the first few chapters.

This is just a little frustration for me but will not prevent me from listening through to the end. Even with the very light back story, I am interested in the story and the voice acting is pretty good. Perhaps I’ll find more back story later.
