It was more than just dark. There was actually a story! And I loved the possessiveness!

This retelling is definitely unique, dark, and intense. The relationship between the two leads is the definition of toxic but it a weird meant to be together way. There were so many twists and turns, I listened to the audiobook in one sitting. Both narrators were fantastic. I cannot wait for Lamb!

Um… I’m so confused… or well I have so many unanswered questions! It sort of just ended on me! Don’t get me wrong I’m glad I spent the credit but this story left me legit confused.. clearly I need the next book asap!
Just to be VERY clear; this story is pretty far from even the darkest of what you might call romance. The dude is seriously terrifying in his delusional obsession. More on the realistic stalker scary side than the sexy devoted kidnapper we so often see in dark romances. The sex scenes are definitely hot if you like things on the darker and possibly less than consensual side. The focus isn’t really on the smut though there is a decent amount. It really focuses on the absolute unreasoning delusional obsession of a stalker. The dual POVs and duet narration are well done. Timeline jumps back and forth a bit but it wasn’t annoying or hard to follow. I guess you could maybe say it has a HEA…. It did just kind of end leaving me feeling like stuff didn’t really get resolved. Not in a cliffhanger way though. If your into darker stuff then I would say ya give this one a chance, it’s worth a credit to add it to your dark and twisted collection 😏😈
