I went into Savage Temptation expecting a mafia story and got so much more! We’ve got workplace romance, enemies to lovers, stalker/touch her and die vibes, and you get those tropes before you really get into the mafia world building. Speaking of world building, Ms. Amaral does a great job introducing family and side characters so now I can’t wait to read the future stories in the series. If you like jerky/bully MMC’s until they figure their stuff out and then they are devoted, then you’ll love Liam. And sweet Jaime, I’m not sure there has ever been a MMF that deserved an HEA more than this girl. I enjoyed the audio production performed in duet style by new-to-me narrators, Madison Mitts & Theodore Zephyr. They both did the various characters well and brought the story to life. This would have been a strong 4 star read for me but I wasn’t thrilled with how they dealt with a traumatic event but that’s probably just me – but please make sure you pay attention to your content warnings. Chapter 33 and 34 are rough. So overall, this was a great Book 1 to a mafia lite series with serious spice. Overall, a 3.5 star read for me with 4 spicy peppers.

I happily dove blind into Savage Temptation by Stephanie Amaral, a new to me author. I even skipped the TW’s. So happy I did, and boy did this book consistently hold my interest throughout.

Madison Mitts and Theodore Zephyr had me hooked immediately, and I just knew Savage Temptation would be difficult to put down. I found myself hiding in my car on lunch break so I could keep listening!

I really enjoyed the gradual building of this story. It certainly had me guessing, then bam…..plot twist or two! I won’t say more, you’ll have to listen for yourself. I recommend you do!

The determination of Jamie (FMC), to not let the darkness and despair from her past control her future had me cheering her on throughout!

Our MMC Liam flirts with intense predatory and possessive tendencies. His internal wrestle at sharing his truth with Jamie. I was as surprised as Jamie at this revelation. Oh, and the dinner table scene…..

Madison and Theodore’s performances had me on an emotional roller coaster from the beginning. Theodore as Mr Mercier, the sleazy creep I wanted to head butt so bad!

This book had it all. From feeling a tad angry with the characters at times, then feeling heartbreak, to laughing out loud with them! Love when a story has this impact.

Thank you Stephanie Amaral for an enjoyable and engaging story. I look forward to continuing with the Lords of Commission series. Thank you to Blue Nose for a wonderfully entertaining Advanced Listener Copy.

The FMC was way too immature and played the poor little victim that nobody loves her sh is just a nobody all the time through most of the book! This book could have been shortened by half if they would have edited the poor pitiful me inner dialogue

♡This was my first read by Stephanie Amaral & I enjoyed it! The beginning was slow but once it picked up I didn't want to stop listening. I'm a sucker for a m@fia trope & possessive MMC's make me melt! I loved the banter, the tension was super high, & the spice was spicy! The ending had me super excited to continue this series!

The duet narration for this audiobook was amazing! Theo & Maddi did an amazing job bringing Liam & Jamie to life!
