OWNING HER IS ALL HE EVER WANTED

She betrayed him, and now he wants revenge against the sister who became his forbidden obsession the second he laid eyes on her. After she sends him to prison for years, he’s free and ready to haunt her.

Everything about Olivia belongs to Malachi Vize.
Her mind
Her body
Her soul

This audiobook right here….this book….is my most favorite flavor. I enjoyed every single second of it. Narrated in duet style by Heather Firth and Joe Arden. This is my first Firth audiobook and I’m definitely going to be looking for more narrations by her. She nailed Olivia. I can’t fault her performance at all. Wow. I love it when I find new narrators to enjoy. Stop making me feel so deeply, Joe! I just can’t handle it. The way he narrated Malachi’s stutter was outstanding. I’m running out of profound words to describe how I feel about his work.

This dark taboo romance has so many content warnings. Did I even check them before diving in? No, and I’m glad I didn’t because I like the surprise. This isn’t an entry level dark taboo romance so if you aren’t seasoned, you might want to start with something softer. This story checked all my dark taboo boxes. Well written, with characters that I felt I could relate to even if only in small ways. Is this the end? Is it?! I hope not. Leigh Rivers now has a special place in my dark taboo romance loving heart.

This story is not for the faint of heart. It is dark and intense. The performance of the narrators is so good.

Wow just wow

Couldn’t get enough of this book but what does it say about me? lol. This was an emotional taboo romance with so many trigger warnings! It was so good the narration and voice acting was beautifully done. Some of the trigger warnings include blood play, spider play, dub con/non con, somnophilia masked man,marking/branding lots of talk about brother sister kink(foster siblings no blood relatives) stalking, overprotective possessive mmc, mental illness, references to child neglect/abuse(in past).

Audio masterpiece

Little Stranger by Leigh Rivers was one of my top reads of last year, so it’s no surprise I was obnoxiously excited to hear this story would be given voice in audiobook format. My expectations were high. This depraved tale of two desperate souls that were made for one another NEEDED to be told properly.

And now that I’ve listened to it?

This duet is nothing short of magnificent.

The narrative flow is flawless, seamlessly weaving between Olivia and Malachi’s points of view AND dialogue, engaging readers from start to finish– this is a story told just as it should be told.

Angst, lust, fear, desire, hopelessness— Firth and Arden inject the perfect amount of emotion to make everything feel extraordinarily genuine. Their back and forth, encapsulating the draw and naivety of young lovers, all while slowly revealing their pasts filled with pain and sorrow is just incredible.

I’d be remiss not to mention how Arden’s ability to capture the madness that exists in Malachi’s head is beyond impressive. He forces you to hang on to every single word that pours from his mouth as he spirals out of control. His internal monologues take you on a journey with soaring highs and terrifying lows, and I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

And the steamy, spicy bits? *chef’s kiss*

Gorgeous performances, top notch production, and a story that I’ve fallen even more in love with, Little Stranger is one you CANNOT miss. I can’t recommend it enough. OH, and there’s a juicy extended epilogue that has me excited for the future. No excuses, you need this book in your life.

This was a love story of epic proportions, love is love no matter how it appears to others. I loved the childhood love of these foster siblings (no blood relation). Malachi was a broken boy with a dark history and the love that him and Olivia had was special, even if no one else understood it, they understood each other and took care of each other even if it was conventional love. Joe and Heather absolutely crushed this performance and brought the story to life, Joe portraying a mute character that used ASL to communicate was undeniably one of the most amazing parts of this audiobook, you could HEAR him signing….just hands down one of his top performances. Heather was a new narrator to me, but let me tell you she was AMAZING! I love this broken and (taboo) couple so much.

Dark, tabooish and amazing!!!
