Although I enjoyed this audio book, the author took us to a very dark place with low morals and questionable characters. I did not like this book as much as her previous works, however I found the narration to be spot on.

this was a really dark read. lots of abuse and sadistic motives, hard to believe the protagonist forgave her abusers.

Wow, I was in a book slump, and I am hoping this book is the first in a long line of amazing stories. It was different and a little dark, and at the heart of the book was a true love story between Michael and Erica.
I loved all of the twist and turns this story brought with it. I cringed, I was scared, and I smiled. The story wasn't overly angsty but certainly kept you on your toes. It was a perfect ending and I loved the little surprise in the epilogue! The 3 male friends of main character Michael's in this book were each intriguing on their own, and I hope more is to come for each of them. I liked Erica's growth of strength and confidence in this book too.
Tatiana Sokolov and Jeremy York were perfect for these 2 characters and both gave outstanding performances. I have listened to both of these narrators before and have enjoyed their narration, but this was a particularly great performance by both narrators.

The story is great but he sounds like a 50 year old man and the character is in his early 20s. She sounds like a elderly,congested women. Should have read the book instead of listened to it.

I love this story. This series. It is absolute magic. You will be sucked in from the jump and wanting to live in this world with them.
