Shall We Play A Game?

Amid the suffocating embrace of night,
I stumble upon him, a beacon of light.
The Boogeyman, a seductive terror,
Whispers haunting promises, cruel and fair.
Eyes that glint with otherworldly fire,
In his grasp, I’m consumed by dark desire.
A love twisted and sickeningly sweet,
Tangled in the depths of darkness, where nightmares meet.
Should I trust my button eyes,
Or should I doubt them and follow my firefly?

*This story is a dark retelling inspired by Oogie Boogie, from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Coraline. Please check triggers prior to listening.

Dollface is the first book in the Needles and Nightmares series. This book is about The Boogeyman and Blue, and is told from their points of view, as well as some cameos from other characters.

This book was my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. It was interesting to me, and kept me intrigued, and now I'm curious to see what happens next in this series.

Blue is a doll, that was made from scraps. She has come across the Boogeyman, and he has taken an interest in her. He decides, she can help him get something back. However, as the book goes on they both start to develop real feelings for each other.

I'm excited to continue on in this series to see if they get their happy ending. I enjoyed the twists and turns.

Dollface by C. Hebert is a dark erotica retelling inspired by Oogie Boogie that I listened to on audio narrated by Eric Corbyn and Lavender Skye. This is the first book in the Needles and Nightmares series.

I was pulled in from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see how everything was going to play out. I loved the chemistry between Blue and Firefly. The book did end on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for C. Hebert to announce the next book in the series.

Eric and Lavender did an amazing job brining these characters to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

This audiobook is narrated by Eric Corbyn and Lavender Skye. I loved the idea of this storyline. It’s a retelling that mixes together one of my favorite Halloween movies-The Nightmare Before Christmas and also Coraline. This story is the perfect mixture of terror, suspense and spice. I loved how the narrators helped immerse me into this dark twisted world with the characters. The story is unique and unforgettable.

Blue and Firefly

Dark, Twisted, Spicy Horror Romance. This is a retelling of Coraline and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Blue(Dollface) and Firefly (The Boogeyman) both are banished to an alternate universe for angering spinster (the Creator). Firefly begins stalking Blue and finds himself fascinated with her. Firefly becomes obsessive and possessive. This story is the perfect mixture of terror, suspense and spice. The narrators did a good job keeping the story entertaining. I found Eric's narration of Havoc funny because it sounded like a twisted version of Elmo.
