Alex Mason is the top operative at the Office of the Director of Intelligence Networks (ODIN) in DC. Aila Gallin is a captain in the IDF and a katsa with the Mossad. They often collaborate and are close friends. So he is not surprised when he receives a call from her at four in the morning. He is surprised when he discovers why she called. A handful of people knew she was in France, fewer than that knew what her mission was.
