Sometimes, it’s best to mind your own business. Felix Eastwood is your average guy, except for the fact that he can see the spirits of the dead. Lilith Lavelle is a fraudulent psychic, plying her trade on social media. When Felix stumbles across an advertisement for Lilith Lavelle’s Psychic Cleansing Services, he hires her under the pretense that his family is being haunted, hoping to expose her as a scam artist. By trying to play the hero, Felix puts his family in grave danger. In the aftermath of Lilith’s visit, Felix finds himself haunted for real by something claiming to be his dead wife; something that is out for blood.

The problem is, Felix invited it in. And it doesn’t want to leave.

Nope. Nope. Nope. This book is exactly why I don't mess with this kind of stuff in real life! The menacing feeling throughout this story was just so good, and the little extra tidbit at the end? Delightful. My spoiler is for people like me who stress about the dog the whole time: the dog is ok!

Delightfully creepy!

Trying to prove the “demon cleanser” is a fraud, Felix gets the most unwelcome house guest. Possession books are my fave and this one just moved to the top of my list. Suspenseful, creepy, scary, that demon voice… perfection. The narration was spot on ! Highly recommend this one !

The best demon possession !

It was a nice quick listen. I appreciate that it didn't waste my time. I was also rather happy about the fact that the family in the story were atheists so the book veered away from being yet another Exorcist rip off. As a result it had to make up some new and interesting rules about possession.

At first I tried reading You Let it In, but struggled to get going. Decided to grab an audiobook copy as well. The story was so well written, the characters were easy to like, and I loved Asher! It quickly picked up momentum and didn’t slow down. By the end, I wasn’t ready for it to be over. Great story!

This book may be the winner for #1 most unlikable main character in which the author truly seems unaware of how terrible he is. Hes the kind of person that will ask the same question a hundred times the exact same way and they get mad that you keep giving him the same answer. Dumb, emotional, stubborn, self centered and just a general jerk. So much so I thought it actually might be an unreliable narrator situation, which would have been infinitely more interesting then what actually happened. On top of that there are multiple story elements that are not needed or not utilized. It seems like the author didnt know how to progress the story or end it so the characters rehash the same conversation repeatedly in an attempt to get the details straight, which in fashion with the rest of the book, never actually mattered. A rough listen. Especially since the narrator uses an AWFUL child and woman voice.

A struggle.
