Narcissistic abuse affects us mentally, emotionally, physically, and psychologically. The gravity of the repercussions can only be fully understood by those who have been through this type of ongoing trauma. Survivors often experience low self-esteem, a feeling of powerlessness, fear, and self-doubt. They feel shattered, confused, depressed, anxious, and overwhelmed with emotions. Symptoms of complex PTSD are common, as well as many types of chronic illness. These relationships can bring us to the depths of despair, where we wonder if it is even possible to heal.

Healing after narcissistic abuse is possible, and this book will show you how.

Debbie Mirza shares her own personal story of healing after experiencing several narcissists throughout her life, as well as simple yet powerful techniques that she has learned through her own experience, as well as years of interacting with thousands of survivors in her support group and coaching practice.

You will learn tools and practices that will empower you, bring you clarity, and enable you to see your true worth. The way you were treated had nothing to do with you, and this healing path will become your hero’s journey.

The most helpful tools I’ve encountered have come from this author. Her online support group and Facebook page helped me realize that I’m not nuts!

Fortunately for me, my confidence was never lost but it did fade during a period and she reminded me to rise and shine once again.

Being in a toxic relationship where crazy-making behaviors are de riguer, feel comforted knowing it’s NOT you….it’s the other person.

Great read—better have a pen and notebook handy.

What a Great Help!

I can’t even describe how many times while listening to this audio book that I thought or actually said out loud things like “OMG YES!” “EXACTLY!” “SAAAAAAME!” “PREACH IT!”

It was so spot on with being a victim and survivor of narcissistic abuse. I’ve literally never felt so validated in my experience. I even raved about this book to my therapist and she was excited. Love love love this book and highly recommend it!

Narration was super calming.. too calming for me. When I sped up the speed to 1.2 it was a lot easier for me to stay focused.

So many things in here have literally been said to me. I appreciate how the author shares her experience, provides a pdf and questions and discussion points to identify patterns and specific struggles that result from narcissistic abuse. I also am grateful for her breaking down how so many of us being abused and are being told we are the narcissist, are not - because of specific things that we do that the abuser doesn’t do.

I recommend this book! I should have sped it up from the beginning and it wouldn’t have felt so sleepy and hard to listen to - this author is very talented and very soothing. This is an important book on the healing journey and sifting out truth from the lies we are told and believe, and why we believe them from the narcissist. This book is part of my journey to finding myself again.

So so good

I found some helpful nuggets in here, and I am glad the author gave some insight into how to heal and recover from abuse. It got a bit hippie-woo-woo near the end, with emphasis on "energy" and self-acceptance to the point of self-adoration. Even at 1.10x speed, the author's narration seems hypnotic, which I don't much care for. But, like I said, there are some gold nuggets in here, and they have given me some new ideas to ponder.

Overall, worth my time
