Pema Chödrön
The reason we meditate, teaches Pema Chödrön, is because something's bothering us. Yet the root of suffering and the root of happiness are one and the same: the mind. On Working Directly with the Mind, she offers pith instructions on taming a wild mind, and becoming fully present with all of our experience.
Sounds True Pearls bring you inspirational and insightful downloadable audio sessions selected from our most popular courses. Ranging between 15–40 minutes each, Sounds True Pearls offer a concise way to explore topics from meditation and spiritual practice to mind-body healing, the art of manifestation, and more. String them on your smartphone, MP3 player, tablet device, or computer today, and you'll be ready to empower your life with the transformational teachings contained in each Sounds True Pearl.
This session is excerpted from Pema Chödrön's 5-CD program How to Meditate with Pema Chödrön.

This isn't a story. It's a practice.

The techniques described within sound like a great way to get settled while meditating. This audio contains some meditation/reflection, so do it at home rather than while driving. I look forward to more from Pema Chodron.

What was most disappointing about Pema Chodron’s story?
I found it to be a bit over my head, I wasn't really able to just relax and listen, it required a great deal of thought for someone who is inexperienced. What didn’t you like about the narrator’s performance?
Not a professional recording, there is someone in the background that you can hear clearing their throat throughout the whole thing and it is very off-putting and unprofessional. I really wish I could get my money back.Need Experience To fully understand
