I think this is my favorite mafia book so far this year hands-down. I could not put this down. I enjoy reading and listening and I’ve bended this and about 24 hours. The voice acting oh my God I am obsessed. I absolutely love the plot, the characters everything top-tier.

This book made me think about my school bullies and how I would be told that it was because he liked me. Basically our mmc ran in the bully crowd and was a bully himself to our fmc. Now they are both adults and find themselves in an arranged marriage between their two mafia families. There are secrets, twists and turns and delicious slow burn spice. This is one of those rare books that was somehow exactly what I expected and yet not at all what I expected. Well written and beautiful crafted story. The narrators were fantastic and the Irish accents were fantastic to listen to. Loved every minute of this audiobook.

To say I am excited about a new Irish mafia series from Jane Henry would be an understatement! I was hooked from the start. Erin's sister is very, very ill with the only doctor who can help booked years out. Knowing that the doctor is friends with the McCarthy family an arranged marriage is concocted by Erin's family...but Erin doesn't know. Needing the trade routes Erin's family controls, Cavin enters into the marriage. The real kicker of all of this is that Erin has serious trauma from school of being relentlessly tormented and bullied by her peers led by Cavin. And this is jus the tip of the iceberg for what goes down in Wicked Altar. Five Stars and I can't wait for the next book!

Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross bring the Irish mafia to life with their narration. Five stars! If you enjoy audiobooks, I highly recommend listening.
