Brace yourself for double the suspense in these snowbound adventures as an avalanche forces two couples to face down their enemies in a ski resort shut off from the outside world.
In Buried in Shadows by Dani Pettrey, Cassandra Parker arrives at her best friend's destination wedding, praying her stalker hasn't tracked her to Colorado. Also part of the wedding party is Sheriff Joel Brunswick, the man she stunned by leaving at the altar to hide a dangerous truth. When an avalanche strands their ski group in an abandoned lodge, it becomes chillingly clear that Cassandra's stalker has followed her … and he's willing to kill to make her his.
In Snowbound Secrets by Lynette Eason, Dr. Maya Sullivan fully intends to escape her past and finish planning a retreat for military veterans at the ranch she's inherited. Unfortunately, her plans go sideways when an avalanche traps her in a Colorado ski resort. An unexpected reunion with her high school crush forces her to confront past wounds, but she soon realizes someone is targeting her, and their search for a shadowy enemy becomes a matter of life and death.
A gripping romantic suspense novella collection from bestselling authors Lynette Eason and Dani Pettrey featuring second-chance romance, trapped together forced proximity, military and law enforcement heroes, a small-town destination wedding, and snowbound survival at a Colorado ski resort.

Buried in the Shadows by Dani Pettrey was my favorite. Cassandra Parker attends her best friend’s wedding at a Colorado ski resort, hoping her stalker won’t follow. Also there is her ex-fiancé, Sheriff Joel Brunswick, whom she was forced to leave at the altar to save his life. When an avalanche forces the wedding party to take shelter at an abandoned lodge, Cassandra’s shocked to realize the stalker is among them. As friends begin to die, can Cassandra & Joel uncover the killer in time? This story was impossible to put down. The creepiness factor is magnified by the old dilapidated lodge & closed in feeling as well as having the stalker’s POV. The killer’s identity kept me guessing & I enjoyed deciphering the clues. I loved seeing Cassandra & Joel reconnect & get a second chance at love.
Equally thrilling is Snowbound Secrets by Lynette Eason. Dr. Maya Sullivan‘s visiting a favorite ski resort while planning how to turn her inherited ranch into a veterans’ retreat. When an avalanche strands her at the resort, she reconnects with old friends including her old high school crush. With communication down, Maya does her best to treat injured skiers while she & Gideon try to figure out who’s targeting her. Can she survive until help arrives? This story was equally chilling with a snowy backdrop & feeling of being trapped. I loved seeing Maya reconnect with Gideon & the way they helped each other cope with their pasts including PTSD. The killer was a surprise & I enjoyed unraveling the motive & clues.
Both are nail-biters & I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I also listened to the audiobook & really enjoyed the narrator. She brought each character to life with just the right amount of emotion.
Highly recommend to inspirational romantic suspense fans! I received an advanced copy but also purchased the audiobook version. All opinions are completely my own & voluntarily provided. 4.5-5 stars!
Page-turner & loved the narration!

The narrator wasn’t good, but she was slightly better in the second story until the last couple of chapters.
Dani’s story was good. I’d have rated it a 4.
I like several of Lynette’s books, but not this one. Not even a little.
One good story
