This story is great for the fact that the system isn't perfect. There's a lot of children who become lost souls. I read some of the reviews regarding the love match between the main characters. Some people are confused and some seem disgusted. To me it isn't disgusting or disturbing. It's basically a star crosslove story that didn't bare any fruit. They were 16. He loved Doe, but she was already going through her own trauma that he didn't have any part of. They didn't get to have an intimate love. All he knew was the love and bond he had with Doe was truly innocent, and the what ifs, if she survived. To me he was given a second chance in gaining that love when he met Willow. She needed that love. The bond of family that was stripped away before her birth. To reward both of them of the lost love that they were dealt with, fate gave them each other.

I saw reviews and I wanted to try and like what was written but I can’t with the text. Too fast pace for me where it is like day 2 and they are having spice already. 20 year age gap is too much for me in a modern romance. DNFed

I love this whoever series. This first book hooked me with its feeling and thought out story

The story was okay. I’m good with age-gap romances but the fact that it didn’t matter at all to the mmc was uncomfortable. The plot twist at the end was disgusting and it made me regret downloading this book. Super cringy and unfortunately not worth the listen.
