In an Arizona desert a man wanders in a daze, speaking words that make no sense. Within twenty-four hours he is dead, his body swiftly cremated by his only known associates. Halfway around the world archaeologists make a shocking discovery at a medieval site. Suddenly they are swept off to the headquarters of a secretive multinational corporation that has developed an astounding technology. Now this group is about to get a chance not to study the past but to enter it. And with history opened to the present, the dead awakened to the living, these men and women will soon find themselves fighting for their very survival--six hundred years ago. . . .©1999 by Michael Crichton; (P)1999 Random House, Inc. The review has an unlimited field of suspence and diversity. I loved listening to this book, somtimes couldnt put it down. I wish Chrichton would have set it up for a sequal because this book could go on forever.
This book is possibly the reason that i am even using audible, I always thought books were a waste and that hearing them would be even more straining to put myself through, however, that is not the case. This book is possibly the most intriguing and stimulating books that ive finished in years.

I really enjoyed this audiobook. I listen while walking and it made me walk farther because I didn't want to stop listening. Some of the language was harsh and the brutality was MORE harsh, but it brought Mideaval Times to life.I could smell, see, hear and taste the world the modern scientists were transported to.

Captain Kirk meets Braveheart

Seemed to be a very detailed sci-fi novel. This specific piece had all the suspense and mystery to hold your attention and as well as keeping you on the edge of your seat waitting for the next page or sequence in the audio. This was also easy to follow the basic line of the story. Bravo

Where does Timeline rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I WILL listen again because of story line AND the narrator/reader. It ranks in the top 3 of my: I HAVE & WILL listen again.

What did you like best about this story?

Again...good story line (I didn't think I could be interested in this topics), and excellent narrator/reader.

Which scene was your favorite?

The "Karma" of the business man who ended up being "sent back" himself.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

In my opinion...an audiobook can REALLY bring a novel to life with a GREAT reader.

A new interest...

In retrospect I should have payed closer attention to the charater names earlier in the novel. Movies take out so much, the unabridged versions add so much. I needed to concentrate and not take too much time between listening sessions. What a great way for exposure to that point of time in the world

Enjoyed it.
