Ilona Andrews is the absolute best at character development. I love how the books, especially this one, tell the story of how people grow and develop. Ada starts out as a suburban wife and mother and grows into a force of nature. Now, however, I must content myself with listening to this well-performed book until the sequel is released. Sigh. Life can be so hard sometimes.

I have never read a book by Ilona Andrews that I didn’t love. The story and characters are so interesting, I can’t wait to see where this series takes us.
