Ilona Andrews is the absolute best at character development. I love how the books, especially this one, tell the story of how people grow and develop. Ada starts out as a suburban wife and mother and grows into a force of nature. Now, however, I must content myself with listening to this well-performed book until the sequel is released. Sigh. Life can be so hard sometimes.

I'm really enjoyed this book and the narrators did a great job!!! It reminded me of aspects of the innkeeper series. I'm really looking forward to the next book,

I was so surprised when I saw this book come out. My favorite author is writing in my favorite genre? I almost combusted right there and then. But as I read, I realized I wouldn’t se the same troupes that are typical in the genre, and I love how this husband and wife duo took a unique spin on this genre. As a budding writer myself, they are inspirations and I can’t wait for book2!
