With lots of plot twists, and theories about the end, I definitely enjoyed this read.

There are some authors, two in particular for me, that when they release a book, I pre-order it before even reading the synopsis. Shari Lapena is one of those authors. Her books never disappoint me, they are always attention grabbing and intriguing.
This book was fast paced, with great character development. Everyone was a suspect at some point during the story. The ending was a cliffhanger of sorts. The main story was finished, but were left wondering about one of the main characters and what will happen in her life next. I’m hoping that perhaps this book will be the first in a series that follows the lead detective. 🤞

This story keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the book. You never can be exactly sure who the antagonist is. The narrator was brilliant as usual.
