Tilda

I have a new house. Well, new to me. Just like living in my own place on the top of a mountain, rather than in a city apartment, is new to me. But it’s mine now because my Great Uncle Jack passed away, and he left me his freaking house. In Colorado. On the border of Lonely Peak State Park.

But that’s not all he did.

He also left a series of letters. A scavenger hunt of clues that leads me back to Vegas. To his lawyer’s office. To the reading of his will. Where I learn I must marry in order to keep my sudden inheritance out of the greedy hands of my family. And since they’re the worst, I only have one option.

Ask the grumpy park ranger I just met to be my husband.

Ethan

Jack never lied. Not outright. But he did omit some things. Like the fact that his grandkid Matty is actually a fully grown woman named Matilda. And the fact that she looks like a walking, talking mountain fairy with her long purple hair and a wardrobe of lust-inducing dresses.

He also failed to mention that he was setting us up. That he was setting all of this up. And now, when the woman I unwittingly agreed to watch out for stands before me, asking me to marry her, there’s only one answer I can give…

The moment I met Ethan, I knew I needed his story!! Sj Tilly didn’t disappoint. Tilda was just the sunshine grumpy Ethan didn’t even know he needed but after one meet, he was a goner! A man gone is my favorite. There wasn’t a thing he wouldn’t do for her.
I loved every second of their story. It was entertaining, funny, spicy and sweet.

Erin Mallon and Connor Crais were more perfect than words in their narration. The chemistry, the want, the falling, the love. Their performance just heightened every moment, every emotion.

Delicious Grumpy Sunshine Romance!

Ethan is a total grump—and I absolutely loved him that way in the last book, Mountain Daddy. In this one, we still get our beloved grumpy king, but he is such a sucker for Tilda, and it is everything.

Tilda inherits her uncle’s remote Colorado cabin after he passes away. She’s a total fish-out-of-water, but she’s determined to take this challenge head-on—especially after dealing with a toxic family that never supported her. The moment she got the cabin, she didn’t look back. Enter Ethan: park ranger, professional mountain grump, and someone who actually knew her uncle. When he spots a purple ribbon tied to the barbed-wire fence, he immediately checks it out—only to find Tilda hanging crystal dreamcatchers and trying to make this place her own. Intrigued (and confused), he quickly learns she’s the new resident. From there, he keeps finding himself crossing paths with her… intentionally or not.

Then comes the twist: Tilda receives a letter summoning her to a will reading in Vegas. Everything is paid for, so she goes—only to discover that Ethan is her pilot for the trip. At the reading, she learns she’ll inherit two million dollars… but only if she’s married. If not, the money goes straight to her awful family. When they start causing a scene, she panics and says her fiancé is right there—cue Ethan stepping up without hesitation and defending her. The two end up eloping, and the story just snowballs from there.

This book has so many fun twists and turns, and I adored the whole “my wife” energy Ethan brings. The dynamic between them is honestly swoony and sweet in equal measure.

My only downsides:
— Some chapters dragged a bit with too much unnecessary detail.
— The whole “good boy” thing? Yeah… not my favorite. Definitely a little cringe for me.

Overall, though, it’s such a fun, twisty grumpy-sunshine marriage-of-convenience romance with great chemistry.

Marriage of convenience

This story was my favorite of the series… which says a lot because I loved Rocky and Kendra. Ethan is such a grump when we first met him earlier in the season and he didn’t even change that grump throughout his story except for Tilda. Tilda is such a little fairy I loved her. She belongs in a Disney movie with the way animals gravitate towards her. Tilda and Ethan’s story was so much fun. Jack is quite the puppet master even from the grave! The way these two built something from literally nothing was amazing to read. From the flight back to Vegas, the cabin back in Colorado these two were inseparable. The way Ethan showed up for Tilda always was exactly what this lonely girl needed. It couldn’t have been portrayed any better. The letters Jack left was a fun little snippet of the man who wants only the best for his great niece. I, like Tilda am glad to know Jack wasn’t alone and had someone. I’m happy she got to meet the person and they helped fill in some pieces. Tilda’s family is awful and they deserve their pillow at night to never be cold! Awful human beings. I really enjoyed seeing Rocky and Kendra again. Rocky showing up to use “his bathroom” was hilarious for many reasons. I really loved every page of this story. It held me captive from the first scene. I loves The short chapters it made the book flow faster for me. Overall this was such a great read and I’m sad this world is over because I felt Like I was Colorado with them. If you haven’t read this series yet please start it it is such a nice lighthearted read.
