Jude Kensington is the playboy of Pembroke Hills Country Club and the last person I expected to be living with this summer.

Charming flirt. Billionaire bachelor. And my friend who once kissed me during a night neither of us can remember—or forget. But before things could get complicated, a surprise showed up on his doorstep.

A baby. His baby.

With no clue how to care for an infant and me in search of a place to live, we strike a deal: I’ll help him survive fatherhood, and he’ll give me a place to stay. Temporary. Convenient. Totally platonic.

Except nothing about this arrangement feels simple. Not when I’m rocking his daughter to sleep. Not when I catch him watching me like I’m something he can’t have. And definitely not when I remember exactly how it felt to kiss him.

Falling for Jude was never part of the deal. But the longer we play house, the harder it is to pretend I don’t want to be more than friends…

he was a playboy, she was a normal girl just trying to make her dream of being a photographer come true. they meet and become best girl and guy friends. her best girl friend and his best guy friend fall in love and then these two meet and also become best friends. he is super flirty but is afraid she will reject him. she knows he is flirty and doesn't think he could ever be serious about her, because why would he. secretly they have been in love for the entire time they have known each other. then he meets his 4 month old daughter Ava. Charlotte doesn't even hesitate to step in and help Jude care for his daughter. he doesn't want her to feel obligated since she is going to be staying with him. she doesn't. she just wants to. its an acts of service thing I think. this story is told in a short amount of time. its only about a month of time before the epilogue, then it jumps 6 months. honestly its giving a little slow burn, longing, im not good enough for you, slight miscommunication. rich boy + not rich girl. I didnt want to like his mom at first but then i was like...maybe.

narration was perfection. these narrators were the right choices for these characters. you can never go wrong with Jason Clarke. honestly he might be my favorite male narrator right now. after over 700 audiobooks listened to, he really is the best. he can sing (not in this), he can act, he is funny. he brings the emotions and the growl and the sexy. my Boi does it all. the female narrator, Megan Wicks I think it is, was awesome too. she has that husky, sexy voice. she was fun and sweet and just perfect for Charlotte. honestly she played off Jason great. I love duet narration and this was an awesome read. can't do much better.

best friends to lovers at its best

I was so excited to get my hands on this third book in the Pembroke Hills series - especially after loving the first two - and while I unfortunately didn’t receive an ARC, I couldn’t resist diving in anyway.

Charlotte and Jude were everything I want in a friends-to-lovers romance. Their history felt genuine, their connection was effortless, and the slow-burn was so well done. The mutual pining added just the right amount of tension, and when things finally shifted between them, it felt completely earned.

Jude’s character growth really stood out to me. Seeing him evolve from the “playboy” we met in earlier books into someone capable of such deep, unwavering love was incredibly satisfying. The way he showed up for both Charlotte and Ava was honestly beautiful and gave the story so much emotional depth. The surprise baby element added just enough drama without taking away from the heart of their relationship.

The duet narration by Megan Wick and Jason Clarke elevated the entire experience. They brought so much emotion and nuance to the characters that I found myself completely immersed from start to finish.

Overall, this was another fun and engaging read from Kat Singleton - romantic, emotional, and easy to fall into. A solid 4-star story for me!

Another winner!!

Jason and Megan were so perfect together in this sweet story. Jason was swoony as a single dad. There were so many heartwarming moments in this story. The duet narration is perfection. Loved it so much!

The best single dad story! Couldn’t stop listening!

⭐⭐⭐✨ (3.5 stars)

More Than Friends by Kat Singleton was such an easy, enjoyable listen for me. This is one of those stories that just flows—nothing overly heavy, just a really solid, feel-good romance with some sweet emotional moments mixed in.

I loved the friends-to-lovers dynamic here. There’s something about that built-in history and comfort that makes everything feel more natural, and I thought that part was done really well. The “playing house” and single dad elements added a really soft, cozy layer to the story, and I found myself just enjoying the ride rather than overthinking anything.

For me, this landed right in that “really liked it” space. It didn’t completely blow me away, but it didn’t need to—it was just a good, solid romance that kept me engaged the whole time.

The audiobook was definitely a highlight. The duet narration by Meghan Wicks and Jason Clarke was such a strong point. Their performances brought the characters to life and added that extra layer of emotion and chemistry that the story sometimes needed. Jason Clarke especially nailed that charming, slightly clueless new-dad energy, and Meghan Wicks had a warmth that made the emotional moments land better.

Overall, a super enjoyable listen—especially if you love:

Friends to lovers
Single dad
Forced proximity / “playing house”
Easy, feel-good romance

So cute! I just loved Charlotte and Jude in Lucy and Cal’s book. So it was so nice to finally be able to read their love story. Ava was so cute and her character demonstrates how sometimes the most unexpected things or people can change your life for the better and be exactly what you needed in your life. A beautiful story.

The audiobook is in duet style and done sooo well! The tone of voice and the actors chosen for the roles were perfect!
