Love & Monsters surprises with a genuinely compelling blend of friends-to-lovers heat and evolving emotional stakes, starting with Noah and Jake’s easy camaraderie and deepening into something far more tender. The mystery thread—someone targeting Noah with threatening violence—adds surprising tension that keeps the romance from ever feeling too light, and it forces the characters to show up for each other in meaningful ways. Noah and Jake’s chemistry feels immediate yet earned as they balance fear, attraction, and loyalty through escalating stakes. It’s a refreshingly sexy, heartfelt thriller-tinged romance that left me fully invested.

This isn’t the best romance book- it doesn’t really make sense why the 2 leads are resisting a relationship for so long and the writing leaves a lot to be desired.

This book quickly became a new favorite of mine, it’s a cute, spicy book that had a great plot that it was amazingly written 10/10 would read again

Fun. Flirty. Easy read. Too easy, really. Solved the mystery by chapter 16. Narrators are good. I could tell which character was leading the chapter but the character voices were distinct.
