Museum curator Amara Grant has big plans to return artifacts to Haiti, so when she discovers the priceless bracelets on display are fake and gets fired for it, her entire life changes overnight. What follows is a globe-trotting treasure hunt packed with riddles, secret societies, and black-market antiquities, with stops in Los Angeles, London, Scotland, and Paris. The chemistry between Amara and her bodyguard, Dante, is immediate, and their close-proximity adventure only intensifies their connection. Aside from the romance, I adored the theme of reclaiming what belongs back home. This was a wonderful audiobook! I love the characters and how fast I felt connected to the main character, her ideology, her passion, her desire to influence positive change… That accompanied with a handsome and protective love interest, gave this story all the elements to keep the listener engaged I would love to read additional books by this author and hope that these character story continue!

Initially, the voice of Amber Riley grates on me, but quickly, it became her and matched her personality. Quickly paced, cute and fun caper - enjoyed it immensely. Loved that each character had a voice.

the sounds is terrible. the male MC whispers and the female MC is a loud talker which makes finding a volume that works impossible.
