One of the coolest things I heard Shelomo Solson talk about in this title was the art of “habit stacking”—taking a behavior you already do and then adding a new behavior on top of it. This allows the brain to form new pathways and form positive habits. Through practice, one can work towards the synaptic pruning (fancy way of saving forgetting) of unwanted previous behavioral traits, overthinking being one of them!! Of course, things like meditation are always excellent to practice boycotting the overactive, often calamitous mind. However, there is also lots to be discovered here about neural activity—much of which Solson delivers in an easily digestible presentation.

For us overthinkers (me included!), this book provides really practical advice to help minimize mental loops. The author's experience is real, vulnerable and very heartfelt, which gives added weight to the story and recommendations. Great book with, as the title suggests, no-BS, to help reduce overthinking and get things done in life.
