Is there a life plan…

…that leads to long-term happiness?

It’s not what you think.

Most people take the path of least resistance. It seems easier, but those decisions can cause trouble down the road. There’s another way to live.

And once you see the results…

…it will be obvious that long-term happiness is possible.

Art Coombs, through the use of remarkable stories of real-life examples (Richard Nixon and Tiger Woods, to name a couple), shows the price one must pay for the easy path. You’ll learn about the genetic “hard” wiring of the Instant gratification craving and how to beat it.

Some of the gems you’ll find:

  • The Five Friends You Need and the Five Friends You Need to Avoid
  • Goal Setting for Those Who Think They Know How to Set Goals
  • Silencing the Toxic Whispers of Shame

Easy can be a trick.

Big dreams take work.

Hard Easy is the way to achieve them.

You’ll love this remarkable book because it makes you ask the right questions that will lead to success. And the stories are remarkable

It’s hard not to talk about this book without addressing the inherit bias I have for it with the author being my own father. However out of all of his books at the time of writing this, Hard Easy is definitively my favorite. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard the whole “You can live Easy Hard or Hard Easy, it’s your choice” and yet despite all of that I still find motivation to pick myself back up after listening to this book. The rule really can fit into nearly all scenarios you stumble upon in life. The narrator I would say is pretty good. There a few things I wish he did differently in terms of how he portrays certain people, however I just feel that way because I actually know a lot of the people mentioned in the book personally. However I still think he does a pretty solid job giving off the weight of the rule that is the rule of Hard Easy, but also capturing my dads attitude towards the subject.

A Nearly Unbiased Review

By way of full disclosure, I should say that I went to the same high school, and attended the same local church, as this author, though as of this writing I haven’t seen him in about forty years, so I don’t know how much that affected this review. What I will say is that his drive to achieve whatever goal he set for himself is nothing short of inspirational. This determination has taken him far. We can all learn something from his experience.

Loved the Author’s peach tree story.
