The story line was great. I’m an apocalyptic junkie. Sometimes a bit predictable and unrealistic but it is entertainment. The character voices were a bit annoying at times. But what prevented e from giving a five star review was the abrupt ending! I had to look back on the chapters to make sure I wasn’t missing something. I was expecting a complete box set, not to be left hanging! Listeners, don’t expect a conclusion after all these hours listening!

The title in Audible and the cover art are apparently for a different series called Frozen Blackout. This series is actually Safe Passage by the same author and it’s set in the spring and summer.

Warning it’s sold as a box set and when you look it up these are all the books in the series, but it actually ends in the middle of the story with “to be continued”. I see this author has another series that has literally over 100 books.

I thought what was there was good though, with interesting characters and storyline. Unfortunately, the pace of the narration was very uneven and the voices of the characters not great.

The picture and description of the series were misleading. In 5 books there is not a flake of snow and I am totally not into lesbian love stories no matter the backdrop setting . The abundance of foul language was off putting and in my way of thinking totally unnecessary . Disappointing overall. I will not be purchasing anymore of this authors books. Sold as a complete series and was not!
