This was a great story. I love that the author took her time to build everything up. It made their falling for each other feel more natural. This was a very enjoyable story and honestly just what I needed. Loved it. Narrators were perfect.

Another great story from Lilian Monroe. Piper is starting over with her 2 sons. New town, new life. She meets an arrogant man on her first day of work in a coffee shop when he cuts the line. It's Rhett, she lays into him. This book is full of angst and arguing. It's full of passion. It also has 2 little boys. And is full of humor. The narrators also do an amazing job.

Narrators were great but Id give the book 1 star...
I know some readers enjoy a bully MMC and I can put up with it so long as it's equally balanced/renewed later in the book. However, I don't feel that was done. Piper kept insisting later in the book that he was actually "such a nice guy" and yet I didn't get that, especially when Rhett was admitting during his internal dialog that he was only doing it to improve his image. I get the idea is probably "he's a nice guy but can't admit it because hes afraid" but how Rhett handled the ex-husband situation was so toxic and when Piper has 2 kids to consider, I was incredibly disappointed with how she gave in so easily. So, guess the book wasn't for me.

Narcissistic controlling MMC
