"Love is a gamble. You'll never be able to predict whether you have a bad hand or a good one until you start playing."–Puma

Normandee Tribune dedicates her life to saving the lives of children. While she loves her job, it doesn't fill the void of not being able to have the one thing she desires more than anything—a family of her own.

Amid her fertility struggles, she's forced to come to terms with the reality that she may have put her heart in the hands of the wrong person. Things begin to shift after she's reunited with the knight in shining armor who once helped her during a devastating loss. Now, Normandee is left with hard decisions only she can make.

Tycen Newell had everything a man could ask for: a beautiful fiancée and a son he adored. However, a tragic accident uncovers an unforgivable secret and betrayal from the people he thought he could trust. Revenge is the only thing on his mind when crossing paths with the beautiful doctor who turned his world upside down. Somehow, she manages to find her way into not only his bed but his heart as well.

It's hard to trust when you've been hurt before. It's even harder to love when you've never experienced the real thing. Normandee is determined to keep her heart on lock, but Tycen has other plans for her.

I enjoyed the story, it was realistic but the woman narrator nearly ruined it. No emotion, monotone, and truly hard to listen to as she lacked in so much. Winston did a phenomenal job per usual but needed a better woman counterpart.

Good story, horrible woman narrator!

woman narrator voice kills me every time I hear her. The story was good, but she reads like a robot or AI character please for the next books get another woman narrator. Her voice does not fit the characters.

I hate the woman narrators voice

The overall story was cute! Winston did an amazing job holding the story down. I am so confused about the female narrator. Maybe the female was supposed to be soft spoken, but it was too slow. It started sounding like virtual voice. Her narration made me not want to continue listening. Also some parts were full of static. Extremely disappointing because I’ve heard several stories narrated by her and it has never been that way. All said with love !

Cute love story

however I'm confused by it being book 1 of the Taylor Family when neither of the main characters last names were Taylor. As always Winston James did his thing but the female narrator almost made me lose interest in listening. She made Normandy 's character sound old and she read too slow.

This was a good story....
