Give me a good plus size romance and I am ALL in! 🙌💥 But what really had me hooked from the start was that she rocked a pixie cut and as a pixie cut girl myself, I felt so seen! ✂️❤️ That little detail made her instantly my girl.
And the hero?? Rough around the edges but SO sweet with her and the best part is he was already stepping up and showing out for her before he even fully understood his own feelings. That kind of instinctive protection and care hits different every single time. 🔥
The story was just really really good all the way around. The characters, the romance, the development all of it. If there are more books in this series I am absolutely picking them up because I need more! Highly recommend this one. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

1st, Lacy Laurel was a horrible choice for narration. 2nd, there were too many missing pieces in the story. For example, when Fade says she has been letting him love her, it didnt make sense because all we saw was him pursuing and her running. I get there's an unseen timeline but the story doesn't connect those dots. AND chiiile, having afternoon sex in a common area of the house while your teenage daughter is home is crazy business! The storyline had potential but the execution was a no-go.
