Is this a masterpiece? No. Is it worth the read? Yes.

There was a lot of intrigue here. It kept me at the edge of my seat (finished this book in 2 days). You never knew who to trust. The reveals are very well done. I found myself gasping a few times.

It was also very much impossible to pick a side in the conflict, and it helped with understanding the impass Wren and Cross reached. The romance took an unexpected turn. We know who our MMC end game is, but the other one grew on me. It makes me curious to know how we are gonna get to the end game. Or you watch it and we are gonna get another Triss and Four situation.

As for the narration, is was meh. There were times it was hard to know who was talking, or if they were reading dialog or inner thoughts. Not bad to turn me off completely, but was a bit frustrating.
