Coming of age is hard enough when you don't have to face monsters....

When your family ends up stranded in a magical world, you don't have much choice.

Jackson's class as an Ironwood Monk puts him right in the front line. He gets stronger the more he gets hit and can pass that on to the rest of the team. That is if he can get his mom to actually let him fight.

No one, least of all Jackson, fully understands the importance he holds for his family's future or that of all Talos. He will have to navigate challenges both in dungeons and the halls of power if he is to find a new home.

The next LitRPG series from the Amazon best-selling author of Life in Exile, Sean Oswald, is here. It’s perfect for fans of Dakota Krout, Luke Chmilenko, and Troy Osgood.

About the series: This LitRPG is set in the world of Eloria, which features character sheets, stats, spell descriptions, loot drops, and XP but is not in a game. It is set in the same universe as Sean Oswald's best-selling Life in Exile series but can be listened to alone as its own story arc.

the orc parts of the story are completely useless. I have 0 interest in her total backstory. Shou have been a separate small book. completely takes away from the overall story of the Nelson's who are the primary focus for 4 books then they get sidelined for a pointless character that could have been used the same way Maxwell smart was. hopefully the next book beers away from this trend because otherwise I won't be continuing the series. this is an issue with all lit RPGs dragging out content as if they have no end game.

why?

initially I could not get interested in this book even though I loved the previous three books in the series a lot however about 40% into the book things start getting interesting I was not a big fan of the Karen story but the rest of the book was really good. one of the better lit RPG series out there

starts slow but ends really well

I actually listened to this 1 before I knew about the origional Life in Exile and when I followed the series I remembered I had this. I listened to it again.

Great listen, different take on not starting from the very start of the families journey however I found myself not all that lost in the story with alot of the context provided in the world and situations that were going on. Would I have liked to hear their start? yes. however I also enjoyed that alot more action that didn't involve the family killing boars in the woods and skipped mostly to large fights with lots of abilities and skill points. hope this turns into a few books so we can get a complete picture.

Great new Litrpg

It is no surprise that I would love this book! I've been following the Nelson family since they were sucked into Eloria and ended up following their first tenuous steps into this new reality!
This book was touted to be Jackson's story, and I guess it was. But in reality it told a much, much bigger story, encompassing the whole Nelson Family! And it leaves me needing more of Sarah's story, so much more! So Sean Oswald write faster. Okay, thanks 😊.
If you're looking for a great action-packed litRPG series this'll do it! And Peter Berkrot is the perfect voice talent for the job...

I ❤ this book!
