Rafael Hohmann is a #1 bestselling Brazilian-American author of epic and dark fantasy. Known for his immersive worldbuilding and character-driven storytelling, he is the author of the SunRider series and has contributed to multiple anthologies and novellas. Born in a castle dungeon in Curitiba, Brazil, Rafael immigrated to the United States as a child, where he developed his love for storytelling while teaching himself English through books. He later studied Creative Writing at the University of Utah and earned a degree in Business Administration. He has taught creative writing at an international level, including leading the fantasy writing course created by David Farland, and has worked as a mentor to authors and entrepreneurs building long-term creative careers.
