Kathryn Simmonds writes for children and adults. Her children’s books are Be my Sunflower, Trouble at the Bug Hotel, Twenty Bears, The Christmas Guest, and Princes Don’t Practise. In 2008 she won the Forward Poetry Prize (Best First Collection) for Sunday at the Skin Launderette. Her other poetry collections are The Visitations, and Scenes from Life on Earth. She has also written a novel, Love and Fallout. She is a graduate of the Creative Writing programme at The University of East Anglia and lives in Norwich with her family.
