    Celibacy, chastity, and purity are three dimensions of the same topic.

    Celibacy is the choice of a single life; the choice of a state without sexual relationships.

    Chastity refers to restraining oneself within the bounds of proper sexual relations; mainly referring to external behavior.

    Purity refers to the insides of the soul; not only to external behavior but also to the condition of the heart.

    Simplicity: A lack of disjointed complexity in intention and will.

    Frugality: Consuming only what is necessary.

    Poverty: Absence of resources.

    Simplicity and frugality are commands of the scripture. Poverty is not.
