  • The Adventure of Wisteria Lodge, Part 1
    Apr 1 2026

There may be rumors that Sherlock Holmes is gone, but Dr. Watson still has a few more cases to share. These later reminiscences begin with the case of Wisteria Lodge, which comes to Holmes and Watson's attention with the arrival of a telegram from one Mr. John Scott Eccles, which is soon followed by the arrival of the man himself. Eccles recounts his bizarre interactions with a man named Aloysius Garcia at Wisteria Lodge. When Inspector Gregson of Scotland Yard turns up with news of Garcia's murder, it becomes clear that Eccles is the prime suspect. Holmes is intrigued by the peculiar case and begins his investigation. As he does, let his new tale help you begin a new month with a night of warm and restorative sleep.

Narration is the perfect combination of engaging and relaxing to allow my mind to sleep. The music is lovely as well. I don’t believe I’ve made it to the end of any of the episodes!

Narrator is fantastic

Great stories. It's Sherlock. Very well narrated, and it helps me fall asleep. It's paced well and I find it very relaxing.

I haven't made it through a whole episode yet. That's a good thing! Zzzzzzzzz

With that said, I have listened to other podcasts for sleeping where they read stories. They start their episodes with a quick synopsis of the previous episodes. That's helpful as I miss much when falling to sleep.

Haven't made it through an episode without zonking out yet.

The narrator and music is a winning combination. Sometimes I’ll go through 2-3 episodes before falling asleep. Sometimes I won’t make it through one, which is a big deal for me.
I don’t notice or mind that the narrator is text-to-speech. It’s soothing and consistent. In fact, I hope the same team does other classic literature in the same format. I’d love to listen to Agatha Christie done like this.

Perfect for this mystery-loving insomniac.
