  • Early Riot Grrrl: Mary Carleton
    Apr 9 2026

London in the late 1600s was a little chaotic. So it only makes sense that an agent of chaos like Mary Carleton would become famous for her crimes. Crimes like repeated bigamy and stealing pants in the night. An audacious woman determined to chart her own path, she wrote her own pamphlets like some olden times Riot Grrrl and made herself a witness to history along the way.

  • Let's Get Medieval: Holy Relics Theft
    Apr 7 2026

Whether we're talking the hand of Mary Magdalene, the Skull of St. Foy, the Bones of St. Mark, in the Dark Ages holy relics were ripe for the taking. Thieving monks, conspiring bishops and rebel princesses all went to outrageous lengths to secure the blessings of the bones and body parts of the saints. Sometimes crime requires a little faith.

Elizabeth and Zaron are fantastic hosts I love how it has a slight old radio show feel! Great stories, ridiculous crimes, and good times, exactly what we need.
P. S. always remember to punch up ;)

Binged all available episodes in one sitting. Belly laughed on each one. So many plot twists I did NOT see coming. People are crazy and entertaining.

Quite Amusing

I was skeptical at first because similar shows either have more banter than content or the hosts aren’t knowledgeable. Elizabeth and Zarin are very knowledgeable about their content and have just enough banter to make it entertaining, interesting and funny without making it too over the top. Bravo to them for making this one of best shows like this anywhere really.

Well delivered history

This podcast is particularly enjoyable because it’s entertaining and educational enough to get absorbed into, but has just enough banter and discussion so that you don’t have to hang off of every word to understand what’s going on. I get a good chuckle and I learn something new. That’s my idea of a great podcast.

So much fun

I can’t believe someone had the nerve to call Elizabeth Dutton ‘awful’. She is brilliant and hilarious. I could listen to her tell me a story about literally anything and I’m positive she would make it amusing and well worth my time. I listen to ALOT of podcasts. Many hours of my day are spent listening to different hosts, different formats, and different topics. This one is definitely in my top 5. I typically despise excessive host to host banter with their cringey efforts to be funny, but these two are not that at all. I find them truly charming and witty. They provide just the right amount of commentary and tend to stick to the story instead of going off on some obnoxious tangent like so many do. The host(s) make or break a podcast for me and I can make that decision within the first 10 minutes of a single episode. I’m hooked on this one. I find myself genuinely laughing periodically through each episode.
