Modern Animism (the podcast) investigates the rise of Animism as a folk religion.

it is estimated that folk religions are the fastest growing religion in the world with a 58% growth in the Uk and a 158% growth in America, (not to mention its growth and prominence in Asia, Africa and South America).

so, why should this be?

In this series we'll be exploring folklore, fairy tales, quantum theory, Nationalism, alternate realities, Art and Gaia theory.

Along with philosophy, sociology and Anthropology musings, we will introduce a few real techniques from indigenous societies and the hosts own experiences, until we understand what has occurred to put the modern into modern Animism.

In the last few episodes, we have been looking at Western Animism, Analogism, daughter culture, duality and triadic animisms.

This is our opportunity to compare this to Animisms that are occurring in Asia, specifically, dharmic animism, community animisms (people who live with leopards, take tigers as their grandfathers),

We compare antagonistic dualisms to homogenous animisms, the creation of cosmic order, and how this order flows through the landscape to create personhood (rather than relying on analogisms sense of otherness).

I really do appreciate the effort put into this show as it's a topic I want to know more about. Unfortunately, the audio quality and wandering focus of the author makes it almost impossible to follow. I listened to every episode hoping it would get better but sadly not. I really hope the author can put out a more well planned and more quality product as I would love to listen and learn more!

I appreciate the effort but save your time
