• 190 - Quran - Surah 71 – Nuh - Noah
    Apr 15 2026

We sent Noah to his people: “Warn your people before there comes upon them a painful punishment.”

He said, “O my people, I am to you a clear warner.

Worship God and reverence Him, and obey me.

And He will forgive you of your sins, and reprieve you until a stated term. God’s term cannot be deferred once it has arrived, if you only knew.”

He said, “My Lord, I have called my people night and day.

But my call added only to their flight.

Whenever I call them to You, so that You may forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears, and wrap themselves in their garments, and persist, and are arrogant with utmost arrogance.

    Then I called them openly.

Then I announced to them, and I spoke to them privately.

I said, ‘Ask your Lord for forgiveness; He is Forgiving.

He will send down upon you abundant rain from the sky.

And provide you with wealth and children, and give you gardens, and give you rivers.’”

What is the matter with you, that you do not attribute to God any grandeur?

When He created you in stages?

Do you not see how God created seven heavens in layers?

And placed the moon in them as a light, and the sun as a lamp?

And God made you grow from the earth like plants.

Then He will return you into it, and bring you out again.

And God made the earth a carpet for you.

That you may travel its spacious paths.’”

Noah said, “My Lord, they have disobeyed me, and followed him whose wealth and children will not increase him except in loss.

And they devised a mighty scheme.

And they said, ‘Do not abandon your gods; do not abandon Wadd, nor Suwa’, nor Yaghuth, and Ya’uq, and Nasr.’”

“They have misled many. So increase the wrongdoers only in error.”

Because of their sins, they were drowned, and were admitted into a Fire. And they found no helpers against God.

Noah said, “My Lord, do not leave on the earth any dweller from among the disbelievers.

If You leave them, they will mislead Your servants, and will breed only wicked disbelievers.

My Lord, forgive me, and my parents, and whoever enters my house as a believer, and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in perdition.”

    Mar 15 2026

Strange are the ways of a believer for there is good in every affair of his and this is not the case with anyone else except in the case of a believer for if he has an occasion to feel delight, he thanks (God), thus there is a good for him in it, and if he gets into trouble and shows resignation (and endures it patiently), there is a good for him in it.

  • 186 - Quran - Surah 72 – Al-Jinn - The Jinn
    Feb 14 2026

Say, “It was revealed to me that a band of jinn listened in, and said, ‘We have heard a wondrous Quran.

It guides to righteousness, so we have believed in it; and we will never associate anyone with our Lord.

And Exalted is the Majesty of our Lord—He has taken neither a wife nor a son.

But the fools among us used to say outrageous things about God.

We thought that humans and jinn would never utter a lie about God.

Some of the humans used to seek refuge with some of the jinn, but they increased them in arrogance.

They thought, as you thought, that God would never resurrect anyone.

We tried to reach heaven, but found it filled with stern guards and shooting stars.

We used to sit there on seats to listen, but anyone listening now will find a shooting star in ambush.

We do not know whether evil is intended for those on earth, or their Lord intends for them rectitude.

Some of us are righteous, and some of us are otherwise: we follow divergent paths.

We know that we cannot frustrate God on earth, and we cannot escape Him by fleeing.

And when we heard the guidance, we believed in it. Whoever believes in his Lord fears no loss nor injustice.

Among us are the Muslims (submissive ones), and among us are the deviators. As for those who submit—these have sought the right path.

But as for the deviators, they will be fuel for Hell.’”

If they were to keep firmly to the path, We would give them plenty of rain.

To test them with it. Whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will direct him to an escalating punishment.

The places of worship are for God alone, so do not call on anyone else with God.

When God’s servant stood up calling on Him, they almost swarmed him.

Say, “I pray only to my Lord, and I never associate anyone else with Him.”

Say, “It is not in my power to harm you, nor to bring you to right conduct.”

Say, “No one can protect me from God, and I will find no refuge except in Him.

But only preaching from God and His messages. Whoever disobeys God and His Messenger—for him is the Fire of Hell, abiding therein forever.”

Until, when they see what they were promised, they will know who is weaker in helpers, and fewer in numbers.

Say, “I do not know whether what you are promised is near, or whether my Lord will postpone it for a while.”

The Knower of the Invisible; He does not disclose His Invisible to anyone.

Except to a messenger of His choice. He then appoints guards before him and behind him.

That He may know that they have conveyed the messages of their Lord. He encompasses in His knowledge everything, and He keeps count of everything.

The next day he came with fever and said (to the Prophet), "Please cancel my pledge (of embracing Islam and of emigrating to Medina)." The Prophet refused (that request) three times and said, "Medina is like a furnace, it expels out the impurities (bad persons) and selects the good ones and makes them perfect."
