Welcome to Boring History to Sleep — the only show where falling asleep in the middle is not only allowed… it’s encouraged. Each episode takes you on a slow, uneventful stroll through the most yawn-worthy corners of the past: treaties nobody remembers, kings who ruled for three weeks, and revolutions that never really got started. Delivered in the softest, most sleep-inducing voice we could find, this show is like warm milk with a side of ancient trivia. Perfect for insomniacs, history nerds, and anyone who thinks a Roman tax policy discussion sounds like a lullaby. Lay back, close your eyesVelvet Science Social Sciences

My only gripe is that it’s too interesting to fall asleep to. I’ve learned so much about thatching I feel I could give it a go.

Relaxing and informative

I love that it's mildly entertaining stories and not someone repeating the same thing over and over. Another great thing is these stories are longer than other sleep podcasts, so one story plays all night.

The best sleep podcast!

All I’m looking for in a “sleep” podcast is that it goes on forever and doesn’t have any abrupt vocalizations. This is a very decent AI narration that I can trust will never behave erratically. Would I trust the facts in the stories? Definitely not. Does the narrator make comical mistakes every now and then (it can’t manage Mr. or Mrs. without stopping up on the periods like the end of a sentence)? Absolutely. But it pumps out five hours of content every day. For me, the stories could be even more boring (I don’t think sexually transmitted diseases are the best topics for drifting off). But it doesn’t matter, my goal is to be asleep within 10 minutes anyway. I like it! Thanks for producing some useful AI slop!!
