Bea Johnson
In Zero Waste Home, Bea Johnson shares the story of how she simplified her life by reducing her waste. Today, Bea, her husband, Scott, and their two young sons produce just one quart of garbage a year, and their overall quality of life has changed for the better. They now have more time together, they've cut their annual spending by a remarkable 40 percent, and they are healthier than they've ever been.
This book shares essential how-to advice, secrets, and insights based on Bea's experience. She demystifies the process of going Zero Waste with hundreds of easy tips for sustainable living that even the busiest people can integrate: from making your own mustard, to packing kids' lunches without plastic, to canceling your junk mail, to enjoying the holidays without the guilt associated with overconsumption. Zero Waste Home is a stylish and relatable step-by-step guide that will give you the practical tools to help you improve your health, save money and time, and achieve a brighter future for your family - and the planet.

Featured Article: How to Celebrate Earth Day in Your New Normal
What a time for a golden anniversary. Celebrated annually since 1970, Earth Day commemorates its 50th year of existence as the world faces an unprecedented global crisis. While this particular Earth Day won't be filled with parades, communal beach cleanups, and school field trips to plant trees, fear not: when there's a will to honor the environment, there's a way. Inspire your inner environmentalist by listening to some of our favorite earth-loving audio.
There were a few times that the audiobook kept in reading mistakes but it didn’t really bother me any or interfere with the understanding or enjoyment of the read.
This will def be a book that I read again &/or refer to!

I said 'stop gap' because these measures will be useful until mass production is zero waste (and mass production in advanced societies is needed, which will relegate the knowledge in this book to the 'arts' - not necessary, but optional, yet arts that should be more widely known, since they will apply again in the Microcosm Age (a distant future).
Lacking is higher life guidance (for example, assume you achieve zero waste, then what? Dance around the Maypole?). See the Philosophy of Broader Survival for that higher life guidance, and you will have a better (broader) perspective on why you should bother to do anything at all.

Note: I've downloaded two audiobooks a month since 2013 and this one, hands down, wins the prize for sloppiest editing. Ignore it the best you can and don't let it distract from the excellent content.
Laughable yet life changing
