It took a while for me to get into the story. I did not like Corvin King....it seemed like he was trying to hard to be sexy and a tortured soul.

So at this point, we all know Ms. Ryan’s books don’t miss!
With that being said, my hopes were high starting this series. Is this my favorite storyline? No! So I think that’s what had me conflicted, because my moral compass is just like hell naw. Lol however, I became vested due to the character’s backstory, so I decided to see the book through. And nowww… I’m hooked! I’m definitely intrigued to see how this story plays out. Time to start Book 2(Loving You Always)!

The story was just okay. As a fan of Kennedy Ryan’s books, I wasn’t invested in the plot of this book as I’ve been in her other series. One of the pain points for me was that of the male narrator. I found him to be overly dramatic, which was distracting. I’m hesitant to listen to other titles where he is narrating.
