Megan tries to relate how she might feel in twenty years in her fifties. She sympathizes with Scoosy, even takes her shopping for sexy lingerie. But Scoosy has a secret she is embarrassed to share.
Brett is a Ph.D. psychologist who engages with patients online and loves to cook. Megan is a mommy who nurses three babies. When fifty-plus Scoosy asks for help planning a wedding to Brett’s father, Bob, they are out of their element. Their own wedding was simple and short, but Scoosy wants to elaborate for this final love in mid-life. Maybe Megan’s sister Pam can help with her no-nonsense, no-filter attitude and expertise. Maybe.
Pam shows up with notebooks filled with wedding ideas but Scoosy says no to every one. Megan opens her own notebook and designates it for wedding planning. Unfortunately, both sisters’ notebooks have question marks beside every item.
Wedding plans are sketchy with the bride-to-be’s fears until Megan learns more about her bride-to-be friend’s anxiety. Did the groom-to-be and his former wife bury the bride’s deceased husband? What about the heart tattoo they both have? Pam, who was pushed into volunteering says the bride makes wedding decisions. But the groom-to-be wants control of the honeymoon.
Suddenly, Megan who is the designated wedding planner succumbs to illness. How will that impact the wedding planning? If there is to be one.
Can Scoosy’s fears be overcome and will Megan heal in time to help her friend plan a unique wedding? What about helping the bride-to-be choose a gown for her mid-life wedding? Should it be long, white or mid-length blue? Is there a tradition? Maybe out-spoken sister Pam has suggestions that leave Megan out of the loop.
Megan wonders and worries if the wedding between her friend Scoosy and her father-in-law Bob will take place, especially since she is the designated Matron of Honor and Brett is supposed to be the Best Man.
Perhaps with sister Pam’s interference - it will actually happen?
