This book is a worthy sequel to the Viking Slave during which Dragon Heart was born. Dragon Heart and his father pursue and rescue their family member taken by Tadgh at the end of the previous book. However, Tadgh escapes and continues to torment Dragon Heart’s family and the residents of Man.

Like most Viking stories, this one includes much combat, and dangers on land and sea. It also includes unexpected treachery.
