A re-read and the second MJ Duncan book I've read, but it was enough to learn that she knows how to write emotion, longing, chemistry, passion, and romance. My first review didn't even cover how much I enjoyed this book!!

A chef that vacations on a charter yacht...as a chef lol. A captain that is still grieving her fiancée. Neither of them expected the other, but they couldn't deny their attraction. A vacation fling erupts into ❤️‍🔥 Love this story!

Lots of passionate slow burn and hard press love making, beautiful scenery, chemical and spiritual attraction, really cute side characters, and a relationship that grows immensely in a short compressed period of time. The narration is excellent with easily distinguishable main characters and emotive expression. Loved the food and cooking details! This is a world of privilege where I hope these characters grow and find a way to become more inclusive over time. What did I miss? I needed the HEA time stamp where everything that was pure and sure has been allowed to grow, struggle and flourish again so we know it’s real and likely to last. Is this a series? Not yet, but if M.J. Duncan has a brain in her head, it will be soon. I can feel the breeze in my hair, the ocean spray on my face, the tantalizing tastes on my tongue (from the chef’s creations!), the different groups who come and the stories they bring, and the life enhancing decisions they unexpectedly make while on vacation! And since this is a lesbian series, at least one of Ms. Duncan’s characters is going to open a floating coffee shop/restaurant where everyone stirs the tea. Add a few colorful locals, a dock dog and the whole thing will be more successful than NYE fireworks! A 4.7 rating says you are on to something, so keep going! Highly recommended!

It's been a loooog time since I've heard an audible book that was this wonderful! The story line mixed with Lori Prince's voice took me to the Veritas in person! MJ Duncan's story telling is one of the best I've ever experienced! For Gray and Lauren to find a true love, especially after such a devastating loss, made my heart swell to it's fullest. Thank you, MJ for sharing your talent! I can't wait to read more of your books! Mark me as one of your BIGGEST fans!! 🎊♥️
