A poltergeist haunts Taro, dogging his international travels. It washes glasses, puts dishes away, and even dusts. At least he hopes it's a cleaning-obsessed poltergeist and not his own anxieties burbling over into neat freak fits he doesn't remember. When his property manager suggests he call paranormal expert, Jack Montrose, Taro's skeptical but desperate enough to try even a ghost hunter.

Jack's arrival crushes Taro's hopes of a dashing Van Helsing-style hero. Instead of an invincible hunter, he gets Ichabod Crane. As the paranormal puzzles multiply and Jack begins to suggest the entity might not be a ghostly one, Taro adds a budding friendship with Jack to his pile of anxieties. It's a race to see whether Taro's poltergeist or his relationship with the obviously-not-ace Jack will reach maximum strangeness first.

I loved this book. I wish there would be more as I would love watching them travel and maybe hunting ghosts together. Also maybe he isn’t as asexual as he thinks he is and something could unfold in that department. I loved that his family didn’t jump all over him looking for a handout.

I love the cultural notes in this story and the way the narrator embodies each one with his voice. The story itself is cute and clever and the uncommonly tidy poltergeists made me smile every time! Thank you for doing us aces a favor and putting words to how relationships and all that is contained within can work for us. <3

I have relistened to this story over and over again. It's clever and funny, with characters that are unique and charming in their awkwardness. The mystery it presents is engaging and sparks the imagination. If I could only keep 1 book from my account, this would be it!

I'd love to have poltergeists in my home that love to clean! Unfortunately, I have that one's that are constantly making messes.

This story was a bit of a slow roller coaster for me. Started off slow, picked up, than slowed down again. Nice narration, but didn't quite hit the mark in the romance department.
Guess asexual romances don't do it for me.
